Conversation between Jillian (2) and her mother today:

Jilly: Can I take my shoes off?
Mommy: No.
(Sound of velcro coming loose)
Mommy: I told you no, leave your shoes on.
Jilly: Off.
Mommy: I said no.
Jilly: (scowling hilariously) Raaaaaarrrhhhhh.
Mommy: That was not nice. What do you say?
Jilly: Sorry.

Me: Struggling mightily NOT to laugh out loud at this exchange. Her facial expressions were priceless.

I suspect this is the beginning of many anecdotes to report . . .
