Have it your way . . .

I just saw a commercial for a new show at the Nokia Theater called AetheriA. The lineup was -drumroll please - the Fort Worth Symphony (we're okay so far), the Dallas Black Dance Theater (still good), Willie Nelson (whaaaa????), and . . . wait for it . . . JESSICA SIMPSON.

Now that's what I call an eclectic (or is that word too classy?) lineup. WHO IN THE WORLD came up with the idea to put together a show with those particular acts, all in one place? One has to wonder exactly what crowd would enjoy all of those in one place together. Guess there's something for everyone . . . something classic; something exotic; something stoned; and something . . . that sounds like you are strangling your cat . . . yeeeeaaaaah, what's not to like?

What in the wide world of sports is going on with entertainment these days? That line-up is truly beeeee-zarre.

Speaking of entertainment, I can't wait to see what talent (or lack of it) comes out of the woodwork of my former hometown when American Idol airs its San Antonio auditions next week. :)

Well, on the website for the Dallas Black Dance Theatre, it is actually called AetheriA, An Artclectic Evening.

A quote from the website:
"AetheriA, an artclectic evening, will be one of the most original events that area residents have had an opportunity to attend,” Founder and President David Anderson said. “With the talent spectrums of soloist Willie Nelson performing with the Fort Worth Symphony combined with the Dallas Black Dance Theatre and special performances by Cirque du Soleil, the event promises to mirror the spirit of AetheriA. No other benefit has combined the talent and entertainment that those in attendance will be exposed to in one evening.

Then, in Willie's bio, it says, "In his long and eclectic career, Willie Nelson..."

Sounds veddy eclectic indeed, and you are apparently just fine in your use of eclectic!

Yeah, I went to the actual web site of the program, and to Willie's and to the Black Dance Theater. Oddly though, I didn't find it on the Dance Theater one, maybe they hadn't yet posted it. I looked at their calendar and it wasn't there. I just heard the commercial, half listening, and heard those four acts and went "whaaaaaaa?".
